Occupational Therapy (OT)

The Occupational Therapy department is an essential part of the Pediatric Rehabilitation team at Little Angels Center. The occupational therapists (OT’s) provide evaluations and treatment with the focus of helping children with fine motor, sensory motor, visual motor and/or cognitive disability, become as independent as possible. They encourage independence with activities of daily living (ADL’s) and self-help skills to include dressing, feeding, bathing, and etc.

The occupational therapy staff provides individual and group therapy services across a variety of environments to include home-based, center-based, school-based and office-based services.

Little Angels Center’s occupational therapy team is trained to evaluate and treat:

  • Fine Motor Delays
  • Gross Motor Delays
  • Sensory-Motor Dysfunction
    • Sensory Processing
    • Sensory Integration
  • Cognitive Deficits
  • Feeding Difficulties
  • Visual-Motor Deficits
  • Difficulties with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s)
  • Strength and Range of Motion Impairments
  • Pre-writing and Handwriting Difficulties
  • Hand Preference
  • Tactile Defensiveness and Sensitivity
  • Gait Abnormalities in Patterns of Walking

Little Angels Center can assist your child with cutting skills, scissors skills, coloring skills, tracing skills, issues with clumsiness, body space awareness and body control. 

Little Angels Center’s Sensory-Motor Gyms and Fine Motor Rooms are equipped with a variety of modalities to provide exposure to a variety of sensory and fine motor media.

The department offers:

  • Feeding Groups
