Early Intervention Program (EIP)
The Early Intervention Program (EIP) provides services to infants and toddlers under three years of age who may not be making progress at the same rate as their peers because of a developmental delay or disability. The EIP provides therapeutic services to children who may have a diagnosis with a propensity toward developmental delays (such as Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Cleft Palette, Autism, etc.).
Little Angels Center provides a core evaluation which is necessary for identifying delays in a child’s development. The Core Evaluation is a multidisciplinary evaluation which assesses a child’s development in the following areas:
- cognitive (learning and thinking)
- physical (growth, vision and hearing, gross and fine motor abilities)
- communication (understanding and using words)
- social-emotional (relating to others)
- adaptive (self-help skills, such as dressing and feeding)
Little Angels Center provides home-based and facility-based services throughout Suffolk County and Nassau County. We utilize an interdisciplinary approach to therapy while offering strategies to families that can be embedded within the home, community and the family’s daily routine. Our professional staff assists in creating the child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), with the goal of identifying the child’s strengths and needs.
